Students who are engaged in their learning score higher in writing assessments, demonstrate better analytical skills, engage in problem solving, and collaborate more effectively on schoolwork. Come see how students are successfully engaged in their learning environment through one to one access to technology.

Apple has been fortunate to work with hundreds of innovative schools across the country, and we've seen common factors for successful 1 to 1 learning implementations.

Insurance is available for the iPad

We are pleased to report that reasonable insurance is available to cover the damage or loss of your student's iPad.  The cost is $53.40 for the 2011-2012 school year and there is no deductible. That means you pay no more than the $53.40.  To enroll, download the insurance form HERE, fill it out and return it to your high school office NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 7.  Make checks payable to Zeeland Public Schools. 

Our teachers gather more iPad ideas Sept. 1

Trained this summer to use the iPad in the classroom, Zeeland Public Schools 300 teachers will gather more ideas for the tablet’s use from Kevin Honeycutt, a nationally recognized leader in digital learning. Honeycutt will share his ideas with 300 teachers of Zeeland Public Schools this Thursday, September 1, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lokers Auditorium, 320 E. Main Avenue.  


Honeycutt’s presentation, “Trends, Tools and Tactics for 21st Century Learning,” will be followed by afternoon breakout sessions that are part of the teacher’s inservice training prior to the start of school September 6.

Shipment of iPad covers delayed

We learned today (8/29) that the covers for the students' iPads did not arrived as planned. Therefore, we will distribute iPads Tuesday (8/30) in their original cardboard boxes. Students will be able to pick up the cases at the school office as soon as they arrive.
